From the Garden to the Garden
Brother Pablo Molina
Genesis 2:8 (ESV)
8 And the LORD God planted a garden in Eden, in the east, and there he put the man whom he had formed.
John 19:41 (ESV)
41 Now in the place where he was crucified there was a garden, and in the garden a new tomb in which no one had yet been laid.
Revelation 21:3 (ESV)
3 And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “Behold, the dwelling place of God is with man. He will dwell with them, and they will be his people, and God himself will be with them as their God.
God has a grand plan for the salvation of all people. This grand picture in His Word takes us from the garden of Eden to the Garden of Gethsemane.
God’s Story Shows Us Three Pictures
1.People living with God in God’s presence (Gen. 2:8)
God created man in His image, and this means three things:
Man, was created to look like God.
Man, was created to love like God.
Man, was created to live with God.
2.People living without God in God’s presence (Gen. 3:23)
This is a sad and very tragic picture. This separation meant three things:
Man, could no longer look like God.
Man, could no longer love like God.
Man, could no longer live with God.
3.People living with God forever in God’s presence (Rev. 21:1–4)
This is the greatest picture ever. At the end of the age there will be a new heaven and a new earth.
